Hat tip to Michael Prescott for linking to this website, which lists and scores the Top 40 “cases demonstrating the survival of the human personality after the demise of the physical body.”
As for Prescott, we would recommend his excellent blog to anyone interested in matters regarding life after death, NDE’s, etc. A skilled and thoughtful writer (from the UK).
One thing Sharon and I have both speculated on is the lamentable dearth of research and fluency that so many ghost hunters seem to exhibit when it comes to the study of life after death subjecture. It does seem that many ghost hunters, especially those in the post-digital age, seem to pursue “evidence” so relentlessly, it doesn’t seem to actually occur to most of them to really think about what they are really capturing evidence of .
How do we reconcile what we capture on video, IR or voice recorders with what a ghost really is – how or if it responds to stimuli, what mechanism it actually uses to produce EVP’s (the spoken word in corporeal form, of course, is the movement of air across vibrating vocals, which are physical .)
Fair enough to say we don’t know, because obviously we don’t, but we have often believed the subject of survival after death, it’s physical implications, is a topic frequently neglected as an adjacent but vital subject to the hobby of ghost hunting.
Does one decent Class A EVP prove the soul exists after death?
