We caught an episode of Celebrity Ghost Stories   the other night, with a pretty cool tale from Ernie Hudson (who starred in the original Ghostbusters film), about a night he and his family spent at a hotel in Greer, AZ, and their scary-sounding encounter with the hotel’s resident ghost, “Zeke”.

Hudson reported apparitions, cold spots and strange hovering lights during his night there, and also reported that virtually all the other guests that night reported paranormal activity.

Now, bearing in mind that the guy is (or was) an actor, we were impressed with the story itself, and since he mentioned the name of the town, we thought we’d look it up. Surprisingly, it took some doing. The facility appears to be the  Amberian Peaks Lodge , which is a ski lodge facility in the White Mounatins, in east-central Arizona, and while they mention their resident ghost by name in some of the online info about the place, it isn’t prominently featured. No “ghost hunts”, no mist pictures, no orbs…more or less nothing.

It reminded us that that not all hotels use their reputed hauntings as a marketing hook. We may contact them for more info, see what the tenor of their relationship to this reputed haunting really is.
