Whew – hours of video and audio to sift through, but we finally finished our analysis of our latest investigation, and we have a handful of things to report.

First off, we promised the folks who run this facility (a museum in the Colorado high country) that we wouldn’t reveal the name or location of the place.  So…we won’t. Suffice to say it’s a small, community museum with displays of the town’s mining history. Reports included banging, an apparition of a lady in white around the grounds, and unexpected noises and rustling upon opening of the museum by one of the workers.

We investigated with our friends at Full Moon, and used the usual equipment: night vision camcorders, still cameras, digital recorders, a night vision CCTV and a couple of EMF detectors.

One interesting personal experience – at the end of the evening, just as we were about to break down the equipment, Sharon thought she heard my voice coming from a display room upstairs, and actually thought I had left my voice recorder on “play”. The recorder was in there, but it was on record (hence, made no noise). Neither the recorder nor the video camera she was tending to captured anything remarkable.

An interesting thing…the two photos below were shot before the investigation began, exactly 11 seconds apart. They are cropped (but otherwise unretouched) shots of the front of the facility. The first pic shows nothing in the window, but the second does seem to show something there. We are fairly certain no one was on the second floor at the time these pics were taken.

First pic

Second pic, eleven seconds later

You can tell by the shadow patterns they were taken at nearly the exact time. What that image is…who knows. We’re certain it wasn’t one of us, and all but certain it wasn’t one of the two nice ladies who helped get us set up – they were on the first floor.

Captured this image in one of the downstairs display rooms (a former schoolroom). Now, we got a lot of ‘orbs’ in this place, and a few are visible here. We’re not real big on orbs being indisputable evidence of paranormal activity, and not sure what we’re seeing here is anything like paranormal in nature, but I will admit we’ve never gotten an image quite like this before.

Couple of EVP’s. This first one was captured in the facility’s basement, by one of the FM investigators. She is walking upstairs and you can hear what sounds alot like “hey lady”, at just about 10 seconds into this clip.

This one was recorded by Sharon and me, on the second floor (interestingly the same room as the two photographs above). Two apparent voices here – the first seems to say “grazi” at about 2 seconds (which is interesting in itself, as the town had a history of Italian miners around the later part of the 19th century) and the second voice, different in tone and timbre, appears at about 14 seconds and says…”avoid”?

We also recorded some video that, frankly due to the interference and crazy pixelation, we’re not going to include here. We are going to show it to the museum folks, but heavily qualified as of dubious veracity.

Excellent investigation, very nice people, and we do hope to do another investigation – longer and later into the night.

Most posts coming.
