We’re starting to see alot more instances of the K2 meter question and answer trick. Y’know, the “if you’re a male, can you light up our device?” thing. Sample above from our friends at Ghost Hunters…., (and by the way, maybe it’s user-error, but once you hit their site, you are immediately assaulted by video ads. I couldn’t turn them off. Anyone who retains hope that this program exists to further the study of afterlife phenomenon should take a clue – this program exists to make their host network money. End of story.)
Anyway, along the lines of these K2 interrogations…we were on an investigation a few years ago, led by a local paranormal investigator who fancied themself quite the expert in these matters (still does, as far as we know…). We gathered in a circle and they held out a K2 meter, and asked a couple of questions pertinent to the building we were in. Question…answer…bingo, light went on. And again. And again. Pretty amazing.
In the hushed quiet following this apparent demonstration of across-the-dimension communication, I spoke up, “Can giraffes fly??”
The meter lit up. Our expert glared at me, got up and walked away.
Haven’t trusted one of these sessions since, on the tube or in person.
Bottom line, until you are equipped and sufficiently learned to categorically dismiss EMF meter responses from any other source – outlets, heating systems, your own equipment – you simply cannot treat these experiments with any sort of legitimacy. These may be helpful in validating other phenomena – a sudden cold spot, a precisely synchronous EVP recording – but taken by themselves, without a full shielding or accounting from all other EMF sources likely to produce a reading, they should be regarded as evidence-candy..nothing else.
Just sayin’….
